A one day program designed to give you a taste of our camping programs this summer. Youth Groups, youth, and families are invited to spend a day playing games, making arts & crafts, hiking, and worshiping in anticipation of the upcoming summer camp season.

70th Anniversary Celebration Weekend

July 7 - 9, 2017  
Celebrate the traditions of Sequanota, swim in the newly renovated pool, and reunite with camp friends!  Sequanota has served the children, youth, young adults, and families of central PA for 70 years!. The event will include al of the camp favorites - pool time, hiking, zip lining, arts & crafts, campfire, worship, delicious meals, and reunion time.  Saturday evening will include a banquet meal remembering our shared history.  This a great time to bring your family and connect to this sacred place.  Make time this summer to rejuvenate your faith by connecting to God, creation, and others.

Please sign-up and celebrate with us!  Overnight accommodations available in cabins or the Bowersox Center.  

2 nights lodging and meals:
Adults: $100 in Bowersox Center (linens provided); $75 in cabins
Children 5-18: $40; Ages 4 & under: Free
Family Max: $300 in Bowersox Center; $200 in cabins

Saturday only: Includes lunch & banquet dinner
Adults: $30; Children 5-18: $20; Family Maximum: $100

Golf Benefit Tournament:

August 14, 2017
Cost
: A donation of $100 per person or $400 per foursome.

All golfers regardless of age or skill ability are invited to play in the annual golf benefit. The benefit will take place at the Summit Country Club on Cresson Mountain just off Route 22. Registration is from 9:00 - 9:45 AM, Shotgun Tee-off is at 10:00 AM, and dinner and cash bar begins at 4:00 PM. Your donation includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, refreshments and dinner.

Fall Work Day:

Saturday, September 16, 2017; starts at 9 AM

Free and includes lunch

Grab your work gloves and a sturdy pair of shoes to help prepare camp for the upcoming season. Contact the camp office for more information or to let us know how many volunteers to expect.

Volunteer Dinner:

Sunday, September 17, 2017 beginning at 4:30 PM

To show our appreciation for all of your volunteers, we invite you to an evening meal and entertainment.

IGNITE - Elementary Overnight Retreat September 23-24; Saturday 11 AM - Sunday 1 PM
Cost: $45.  (Grades 2nd - 6th)
An overnight to reunite with old camp friends & meet new ones, play camp games, roast marshmallows over a campfire, and be at camp! 

Adult Day Workshop:

Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Cost:
$10 includes lunch.

Bishop Emeritus Gregory Pile will lead the October discussion on The Reformation: 500 years later. Bring a bible (any translation) and a pen or pencil. Dress comfortably. Please register with the office by calling (814) 629-6627 or email contact@sequanota.com.

Fall Wellness Retreat:

October 13 - 15, 2017
Cost:
Includes lodging with linens and all meals
Weekend (Friday 6:30 pm - Sunday 2 pm): $130*
No Lodging (whole program with meals): $50
Day fee: (Saturday 9 am - 10 pm): $30

A weekend focused on spiritual and physical wellness.We will discuss clean eating, digestive health and foods that heal from the inside out. Chef Andi Luscher will create a meal using whole foods with participants. Elizabeth Hunsberger will guide us in Christian focused yoga for all abilities. Please bring a mat if you have one. Sequanota staff will nurture our spirits with bible study at the prayer labyrinth and creative worships.

Fall Benefit Auction:

Cost: $10 suggested donation for Taco Bar and appetizers

An evening of fun, fellowship, and fundraising to support the Summer Camp Ministry of Sequanota.  The cost of camp is expensive.  The benefit auction and events like it help to support camp and keep our price of camp affordable. The silent auction, Tapas (appetizers) and fellowship begin at 5:00 PM. The live auction will begin at 6:00 PM.  Auction items will include quilts, handmade art, sporting event tickets, gift baskets, Christmas cookies, get-a-ways, The Best Seat in the House!  Please plan to join us for a great evening of fun! Our motto: "BID OFTEN, BID BIG!"  There will be a taco bar, appetizers, coffee, tea, and water available for a free will donation. 

Breakfast with Santa:

December 9, 2017 from 9 AM - 11 AM
Main Camp Dining Hall
Cost:
$8 Adults, $5 Kids.

This intergenerational family event will share the story of St. Nicholas and explore what it means to live in generosity as Christians at 10:00 AM. Families can enjoy a hearty breakfast and an opportunity to sit for a photo with Santa.  A complimentary photo with Santa will be given to each family.  Parents may also bring a camera and take their own pictures. Additional free will donations will also be accepted.

Bowling Benefit:

Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 3-5 PM in the Hollidaysburg/Altoona area. Location TBD

Calling all bowlers! Skill not required! This event is a fun time of fellowship, prizes and awards where "team" will participate in "Wacky Line Bowling" ~ where craziness is key to the fun! Contact your pastor or the camp office for more details. Advanced registration is required.

Men on a Mission:

Join us for 2 days of work and an overnight of fun.  Meals and housing will be provided.  This year the main project will be removing trees near the wooden cabins.

Women's Retreat:

April 28 - 30, 2017
Cost:
Includes lodging, meals, internet access, and programming.
Weekend: $130 for double occupancy
Weekend: $170 for single occupancy
No Lodging: $50

Conversations based on the book Here and Now: Living in the Spirit by Henri Nouwen. Our weekend will include four sessions based on the book, meals, prayer, worship, and free time for crafts, hiking, baking, resting, learning about essential oils or praying.  Rev. Susan Winger will facilitate the sessions.  Participants are encouraged to purchase a copy of the book prior the retreat to use during the retreat. Lodging will be at the Bowersox Enrichment Center.
