God has blessed us with a number of volunteers throughout
the year. Our success would not be possible without the hard work and
willingness of these individuals. We thank you so much for all of your efforts
to assist us in keeping the mission of Sequanota strong. Please keep us in your
prayers and in mind for future volunteer experiences at camp. Review the
following list and let us know how you might support our ministry as a
volunteer. Call us at 814-629-6627 to volunteer. Camp Bethesda Volunteer – Either during the day or overnight or both. Help with programs and help supervise campers. Maintenance – lawn care, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and more Program or skill craft leader – let us know what skills you can share. Skills include sports, arts and crafts, photography, etc. Office help – filing, organizing material for registration, preparing mailings, sorting camper mail etc. Van drivers – on and off site – no special license needed only good driving record. Registration help – Help sign campers in – preferably multiple weeks because of training needed. Needed from about 1:45 to 4 PM on Sundays Lifeguards for weeks with larger number of campers Nurses – stay for week. Kids come free to cabin camping. Lodging and food for nurse and family provided Chaplains to lead Bible Studies and worship: Kids come free to cabin camping. Lodging and food for chaplain and family provided. Planners - Summers Last Blast Music in the Mountains Christian Music Event (August 20, 2011) : Need advance planners as well as persons to help in food service, Camp Store, Security, registration, and more. Year Round Maintenance – lawn care, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and more Program or skill craft leaders for retreats – let us know what skills you can share Office help – filing, preparing mailings, work with marketing mailing list, phone calls to keep in touch with congregations and retreat groups. Marketing – help to coordinate our effort to reach more campers and year round users. Make follow up calls to groups we contact about using our facilities. Housekeeping – available to come in for a day at time to help clean between retreat groups. Team Building Event helper: spotter for challenge course, helper with tower, snack preparer, etc. Host or Hostess to greet retreat groups. In some cases you may even be asked to spend the weekend (free). Spring Break in the Woods (First three weeks of March): Help guide our college age participants as they go out to work on our trails. We need volunteers from about 8 AM to 3 PM 5K Run/Walk April 9, 2011. Need help at registration and along course to guide participants at corners. Also help with refreshments.
